Used carefully, vinegar can become a simple natural ally in the garden. Here are nine practical ways to put it to work outside.

Give Acid-Loving Plants a Boost

Hydrangeas, azaleas, and rhododendrons often thrive in more acidic soil. If they look dull or seem to lack energy, diluted white vinegar may help refresh the soil around them.

Mix 25 cl of white vinegar with 5 liters of water, then water the base of the plants. This solution can act as a quick stimulant, but its effect is temporary and may need to be repeated from time to time.

Help Care for Wounded Trees

A damaged tree does not always have to be a lost tree. When bark is injured, begin by carefully removing the damaged parts.
