Silent Threat In Your Wall

Dangers don’t always announce themselves. Sometimes they quietly sit in your home, humming from an outlet you barely notice. That empty charger may look harmless, but it can still be drawing electricity and generating heat while it remains plugged in.

Even without a phone or other device connected, many power adapters continue consuming a small amount of energy. More importantly, their internal components can gradually age. Heat, repeated use, dust, and poor-quality construction can cause materials to weaken over time.

As insulation becomes brittle and connections deteriorate, the risk of electrical failure can increase. Most chargers will never cause a problem, but a damaged adapter, manufacturing defect, loose outlet, or sudden power surge can turn a minor fault into smoke, sparks, or fire.
